Swimming Pool

SunLand has a swimming pool for the use of SunLand residents and their guests. It is conveniently located adjacent to the SunLand Golf Clubhouse and Grill. It is heated to between 78-80 degrees and opens mid-June and closes mid-September. There is a therapy pool which is in the corner of the main pool and heated to a higher temperature.

 

Tennis & Pickleball Courts

The mild temperatures of Sequim allow play almost year round on two tennis courts and two pickleball courts.

ELIGIBILITY

In order to enjoy use of the courts, you must own or rent a property in Sunland. Renters must have written permission of the property owner to use the courts.

ACCESS

Courts are locked all year around and a key is required for entrance. Eligible Sunland residents can visit the office to put down a $25 deposit in return for a key. The deposit will be reimbursed upon return of the key.

  • One Sunland Resident Required on Each Court
  • Do Not Have Duplicate Keys Made
  • Be Mindful & Respect Your Neighbors
  • Keep Noise To A Minimum
  • Always Wear Court Shoes That Do Not Mark Court Surface
  • Do Not Spill Food or Beverages On The Court
  • Take All Refuse With You When You Leave
  • No Skateboards, Bicycles, Scooters, Rollerskating Or Any Other Sport Or Activity That Is Not Tennis Or Pickleball Related

 

SCHEDULING PROTOCOLS
TENNIS:

No reservations required at this time- all play is open.

PICKLEBALL:

Each Sunland household is allowed to bid for reserved weekly play time. Currently, bidding opens twice a year and results in a 6-month summer and winter schedule. Printed schedules are posted monthly at the courts. Any open times may be reserved up to 2 days in advance by writing in your name on the printed schedules. For more information on the protocol for bidding and to be added to the Sunland pickleball player contact list, please contact the SLOA Office.

R.V. Storage

The Sunland Owners Association operates and maintains a fenced and secured storage facility for RVs, boats, trailers and vehicles on Woodcock Road for a nominal expense to members. No commercial vehicles are allowed in the RV storage lot. The RV storage lot is only available to resident homeowners of Sunland. The RV lot is surrounded by an eight-foot chain link fence and has a locked gate. There is substantial nighttime lighting and Sunland’s security service makes regular nightly checks.

Spaces in the RV storage lot range in size from 15 feet to 35 feet. The RV lot has no covered spaces and no structures are allowed within the facility. The RV lot is heavily used by Sunland Owners Association members and rental spaces are not always immediately available. We will try to accommodate all requests on a “space available” basis and you may be placed on a waitlist for a space.

The Gathering Place

The Gathering Place at SunLand, located at 135 Fairway Drive, is provided by SLOA for members, to be used as an extension of your home if you want to have a party or play bridge, but don’t have enough room at your house to entertain the number of friends you want to invite. It was originally provided as a rental for potential buyers or buyers that were waiting for their house to be ready to be occupied. Then, the second story was converted into SLOA offices. The main floor contains a complete kitchen equipped with dishes, pots and pans and linens, a bathroom, and a large room that is furnished , has a deck off of it, and will accommodate eleven card tables.

 

There is no charge for the use of the Gathering Place, just a refundable damage deposit. There is a small charge for the use of the linens.
