Welcome to the SunLand Owners Association (SLOA) Website

President’s Message:

Welcome to SunLand, an association of 906 homeowners who have chosen to live in this peaceful and beautiful environment on the northern shore of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. Members have tennis courts, a pickle ball court, and a swimming pool for their enjoyment. Generous amounts of greenspaces throughout the community offer ample opportunities for leisurely walking. A gathering place is open for meetings with family and friends, as is a cabana at a nearby beach.

The adjacent SunLand Golf and Country Club is a separate entity where both social and golf memberships are available. It’s tree-lined fairways meander throughout SunLand, enhancing its beauty.

The surrounding area is predominately rural, dotted by farms, many featuring its hometown prize, fields of purple lavender. During the summer months local markets overflow with a cornucopia of mouth-watering fruits and vegetables.

The Olympic National Park and National Forest with exciting vistas and numerous trails dominate the skyline from south to west, running all the way to the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Sequim Bay, the John Wayne Marina, Discovery Bay, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca are irresistible lures for boaters and fishermen. For those yearning for metropolitan outings, Seattle is approximately two hours away, a scenic trip by car and ferry.

We enjoy a mild climate, the temperatures ranging between 40 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit the year round, with a warm, unfiltered sun in the winter and pleasant breezes off the Strait during the summer. Because of the mountainous rain shadow, we normally have only 15″ of rainfall each year. By contrast, the city of Forks, seventy miles to our west, swims annually in over 200″!
